Letter From Bride and Groom

Normally this section would be either an invitation or a letter of welcome from the bride and groom.   This sample site is merely a guideline to give some examples of what you can include.

Web site name can be whatever you want - If available.

Most importantly - Pictures, pictures, pictures.  People want to know what is happening but they want to see pictures.   By the way the pictures in this site are not of anyone living in this area, and while my name is Tom and my wife is Peggy, these are not our pictures.

Some sites have slideshows of the bride and groom growing up - with pictures of each appearing side by side.   If you would like to have a video slideshow included in your site you can also get a DVD of the Show to show on a TV or Projector.  Check out Video section.

The site can be composed in sections.

Section One: Planning Wedding

This section is the pre-wedding part of the site.  I could include the first four sections of the menu above:  Announcement, Schedule/Directions, RSVP and Registry, and Wedding Party.

It is used  to inform people coming to the wedding.

It can be used to introduce the bride, groom, family and wedding party.  This gives people the opportunity to learn more about the couple:
How they met, what they do, their plans, etc.  Friends of the bride want to know about the groom, and friends of  the groom what to know about the bride.

Your wedding vows can be include in this section or in the second section - The actual Wedding

Section Two - Wedding - Honeymoon

The wedding section -  Mostly, this will be made of pictures from the wedding, the reception, and the honeymoon.  There are several styles of slideshows that can be used and individual pictures can be varied in size.   One warning:  without written permission from a professional photographer, I can not use his/her pictures in the site.  You should negotiate this before you hire him/her.  Other than that I can use either photos, digital pictures, invitations, newspaper clips, wedding license, etc.

Section Three:  Life

The rest of your lives.  Each year you can give me pictures and I can add them to your site.   You can have trip sections, children sections, etc.  The cost for hosting the site is $60.00 a year (unless my hosts costs go up).   It costs about $60.00 a page to continue adding a history of your family.
